It’s been about four years since I last set foot inside of Six Flags over Georgia here in Atlanta, Georgia.
It’s hard for me to think that I really haven’t been there in that long, but the numbers don’t lie. The last time I was in the park was in 2005 and they were beginning to build the Goliath roller coaster. That coaster opened with the 2006 season. Therefore from now in 2009 and going back to the 2005 season, it’s been four years.
Despite it being that long of a break between visits, many bad aspects of the park and that visit remained the same.
So today (Tuesday, March 3, 2009) for lunch we went out to the Steak ‘n Shake in Kennesaw, Georgia to take advantage of a couple of their current promotions.
One promotion was for a $0.75 Steakburger, and the other one was for a half price shake / drink from 2-4 pm (their “happy hour” special).
Because of our encounter with who appeared to be the store manager at the end of the experience, I will never set foot in that restaurant again.
Last Sunday, March 1, 2009, we here in the Atlanta metro area and in the northern half of Georgia finally got to experience some real winter weather.
It actually snowed for about five hours and we had some accumulation!
